Natalie Humphreys to lead Storyboard Studios

We're absolutely delighted to welcome ex-BBC Factual Exec Natalie Humphreys on board to lead our new outfit, Storyboard Studios, from our production office in Glasgow, Scotland

The former BBC boss, previously controller of factual and daytime production, is launching the Glasgow-based Storyboard as Managing Director, alongside our Chalkboard founder and chief, Mike Benson. Natalie previously joined the BBC in 2011 as Head of Specialist Factual before rising to Factual Controller where she oversaw a budget of more than £100 million and 1,000 hours of UK-produced programming. She was also a fixture on flagship evening series 'The One Show' and in the BBC Natural History Unit. Additionally, Humphreys sat on the boards of both BBC Television and BBC Scotland.

Now Storyboard Studios will develop and produce programming for the UK and international market, building on our success at Chalkboard Scotland, which produced the 60 episode CBBC series 'Logan High'.

This new venture will partner with Chalkboard on both existing and original concepts, and we're excited to announce that we already have several projects in development.

We see the launch of Storyboard as a natural evolution of the exceptional productions Chalkboard has already made in Glasgow. It also signals our intent to commit 100% to Scotland and its creative community.

Also flying the flag for Chalkboard Scotland is former 'Time Team' and 'The One Show' Series Producer Jon Willers, who joined us at the end of last year.

Exciting times are ahead indeed for film & TV in Glasgow!
