The 'Best Daytime' award-winner is back for series 3, as top criminal barristers Sasha Wass and Jeremy Dein return to reinvestigate historical cases in a bid to uncover miscarriages of justice.
After two hit series on BBC One, which regularly brought in over two million viewers during its 9.15am slot, Murder, Mystery and My Family is back for a hat trick, with a third series airing before 2019 comes to a close.
The standout concept, which has captivated viewers over the first two series (as well as throughout the companion series: Case Closed?), follows two leading British criminal barristers as they work to re-investigate historic murder cases that sent men and women to the gallows. But will these verdicts stand up against the forensic techniques of today?
As Sasha and Jeremy delve into the details of the evidence and trial, a living relative of the convicted person finds out more about their ancestor's life and story, discovering who they were and what might have led them to commit their crime. If Sasha and Jeremy believe they have a strong enough case, they present it to a senior Crown Court judge for the final verdict on whether the original conviction should be upheld, or if perhaps there was a miscarriage of justice.
The in-depth investigation that goes in to each and every case results in incredibly surprising, fascinating and poignant stories, and we're delighted for this next series to hit screens.
Series 3 begins Monday 25th November, 2019 on BBC One, and continues daily on weekdays until Friday 6th December. Catch up available here.
