For the second year-running, and after successfully taking the award home in 2019, Murder, Mystery and My Family has been nominated for a 2020 Broadcast Award.
Could we be about to do it again? Our BBC One daytime series has just logged another nomination at the prestigious Broadcast Awards as a finalist in the Best Daytime category - the very award which we won in 2019. Being nominated for the second time for the same production is a honour and a great reflection of the cast, crew, participants involved, and the fascinating stories that have gripped audiences.
The series sees top criminal barristers Sasha Wass and Jeremy Dein reinvestigate historical cases, combining murder investigations with family history. The duo, along with a information from relatives of the deceased, then work to re-investigate the case that sent the man or woman to the gallows to see if these verdicts really stand up against the forensic techniques of today. If Sasha and Jeremy believe they have a strong enough case, they present it to a senior Crown Court judge for the final verdict on whether the original conviction should be upheld.
With series 3 hitting screens again just last month, this has been fantastic news for all of team Chalkboard and a wonderful way to head into the final month of 2019.
The final awards ceremony will take place on the 5th February at Grosvenor House in London. Wish us luck!
